The new album (released May 28) is receiving an amazing response. Both Apple and Spotify put in on their list of best new classical releases, while superb reviews are ticking in from all over the globe. "Gorgeous and modern piano pieces. "Music from the innermost depth of the soul ... a beautiful sound world where it feels good to be", writes Nettavisen's Tor Hammerø. "At this, Ihlebæk is a master", writes German JazzThing about the "silent power" in these new compositions, which Jazz Tokyo describe as "music full of kindness that sneaks into the listeners heart". According to Austrian Concerto Magazine, this is album is of "a remarkable standard", confirming that the "northerners master a unique form of lyrical music". Northern Lullabies has been nominated for Spellemannprisen – the Norwegian Grammy. It has been nominated for children's album of the year.
PRELUDE TO STORM
The new piano piece Prelude to Storm was released Jan 20, and thereby completes the suite consisting of In Search of Gardens, She Flies and Spin.
Prelude to Storm has been playlisted on Apple Music's main piano playlist Piano Chill, where In Search of Gardens also holds a place – after nearly two months on the prestigious classical music list. In addition, Prelude has also been playlisted by Spotify for their Spanish speaking listeners.

Going into 2021, Northern Lullabies was named «one of the best albums of the year» in Norwegian press, both by Dagbladet and NRK P2/NRK Klassisk.
The album has become both a success with critics and listeners, with streams by the millions around the globe, numerous radio stations around Europe devoting time to the album, continuous support from Apple Music – who have playlisted all of five tracks from the album – and enthusiastic reviews steadily coming in.
