RO


RO is the Nordic word for calm, peaceful, freedom from distractions.
This RO has been an important part of our Nordic heritage and why people have been able to calmly navigate life in this harsh climate up North. RO is once again needed as many find themselves overwhelmed, fearful and distracted.


BUILDING A HOUSE OF RO

After almost three years of holding RO concerts around Norway
and a residency at Gamle Aker Kirke since 2025, I'm taking the RO Project one step further:

We are physically building a House of RO. 

Calling my 2021 album I Will Build You A House, 
little did I know it would actually physically manifest itself five years later. 
RObua is currently being built in Engelsviken, Norway
with a planned opening set for September 2026.

Engelsviken ("Angel's Bay") is a small fishing village by the Oslo fjord, with roots back to the viking age, about an hour drive from the capital.  
Here we are currently transforming a traditional fishing rorbu (built on poles in the water,
like you may have seen from Lofoten). It will become a new kind of social wellness
center, built around community, music, health and nature. It will include
saunas, music room, lounge with ocean view, health bar, cold plunge and 
yoga room, all built on a peer for you to walk right out into water and nature. 

Our aim is to simply create a good place to come by the water,
relax and do something good for yourself – together with others -
in beautiful surroundings. Whether you will be visiting from far away or one of
the local towns in the area, RObua is about leading a lifestyle where a social life
of physical interactions, sauna/health, music, visual art, philosophy, science
and nature all just blend as a natural part of daily life. 

We will start offering memberships and events
and open up for bookings at RObua Engelsviken soon.



RO Residency at Gamle Aker kirke, Oslo

These are unpredictable and stressful times for many.
I'm therefore glad and honored to be able to invite you Gamle Aker Kirke,
the oldest building in Oslo, for quiet gatherings in music.

I have had my RO residency in this beautiful church through
2025 and now also through 2026. 
Built in the 1100's, it is perhaps the most beautiful room in the Norwegian capital,
and worth a visit in itself. Every last Wednesday of the month, we turn off all lights
except a few candles and I sit down by the piano.

I wish for it not to feel lik a concert or performance.
It is not about me, not about applause.
It is about creating a room and a feeling of togetherness.
A place where people can be still - together. 

You are not alone.  
And the doors are open. 

Through this partnership with Gamle Aker we offer these concerts with open doors,
not ticket sales.You give what you wish.​
